【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardisapplicabletoopticalimagingsystemsintheopticalspectralregionfromλ=100nmtoλ=1μm.Theoreticalreflectionsandthecomparisonwiththecalculationapplyonlytoopticalsystems.Theseneednot,however,berotationallysymmetric;anamorphicsystems,forexample,areincluded.Telescopicsystemsarealsoincluded.ThetitleofthisInternationalStandardreferstotherelativeirradianceintheimagefield,butthisstandardisalsoapplicabletodeterminationoftherelativeradiantpower.NOTE—Fortelescopicsystemsitwillbesuitabletostateonlytheradiantpower;formostimagingsystems,theconversionfromradiantpowertoirradiancewillbeeasy.Asfarasmeasurementsareconcerned,thisInternationalStandardcanalsobeappliedtoelectro-opticalsystems.Thetwomethodsdescribeddifferparticularlyintheinfluenceofveilingglare.

【摘要】:InprovidingProceduresAandB,itisrecognizedthatdifferenttypesofthermalinsulationwillexhibitsignificantlydifferentbehaviorundercompressiveload.Datamustusuallybeobtainedfromacompleteload-deformationcurve,andtheusefulworkingrangenormallycorrespondstoonlyaportionofthecurve.Theuseriscautionedagainstuseoftheproductintherangebeyondwhichtheproductispermanentlydamagedorpropertiesareadverselyaffected.Load-deformationcurvesprovideusefuldataforresearchanddevelopment,qualitycontrol,specificationacceptanceorrejection,andforotherspecialpurposes.Standardloadingratesshallnotbeusedarbitrarilyforallpurposes;theeffectsofimpact,creep,fatigue,andrepeatedcyclingmustbeconsidered.Allload-deformationdatashallbereviewedcarefullyforapplicabilitypriortoacceptanceforuseinengineeringdesignsdifferingwidelyinload,loadapplicationrate,andmaterialdimensionsinvolved.1.1Thistestmethodcoverstwoproceduresfordeterminingthecompressiveresistanceofthermalinsulations.1.1.1ProcedureAcoversthermalinsulationshavinganapproximatestraight-lineportionofaload-deformationcurve,withorwithoutanidentifiableyieldpointasshowninFigs.1and2.Suchbehavioristypicalofmostrigidboardorblock-typeinsulations.1.1.2ProcedureBcoversthermalinsulationsthatbecomeincreasinglymorestiffasloadisincreased,asshowninFig.3.Suchbehavioristypicaloffibrousbattandblanketinsulationsthathavebeencompressedpreviouslytoatleastthesamedeformationbycompressionpackagingormechanicalsoftening.1.2ItisrecognizedthattheclassificationofmaterialsunderProceduresAandBshallnotholdinallcases.Forexample,somebattorblanketmaterialsthathavenotbeencompressionpackagedwillexhibitbehaviormoretypicalofProcedureAfortheirfirstloadings.Also,somehigherdensityfibrousinsulationboardsthathavebeenprecompressedwillexhibitload-deformationcurvesmoretypicalofProcedureB.Therewillalsobethermalinsulationswithload-deformationcurvesthatfollownoneofthethreetypesshownhere;thatis,curveswithnostraight-lineportion,curveswithcompactionareas,andcurvesthatchangefromnegativetopositiveslope.1.3Thistestmethoddoesnotcoverreflectiveorloosefillinsulations.1.4Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
