【摘要】:Thispracticedescribesanddefinesfactorstobetakenintoconsiderationwhendesigningandfabricatingacleanroomorcontrolledareathatisusedforaerospaceoperationsandfabrication.Followingthesuggestionshereinshouldprovideafacilitythatismorecapableofmeetingperformancerequirementsandthatwillofferprotectionagainstcontaminationforobjectsfabricatedandprocessedinsuchafacility.1.1Thepurposeofthispracticeistoprovidedesignandconstructionguidelinesforcontaminationcontrolledfacilitiesusedintheassemblyandintegrationofaerospacehardware.Theguidelineshereinareintendedtoensurethatthefacilities,whenusedproperly,willmeetthecleanlinessrequirementsofaerospacehardwareandprocesses.Theobjectiveistolimitcontaminationduetothedepositionofparticulateandmolecularcontaminantsonflighthardwaresurfaces.1.2OnecleanlinessclassificationofafacilityistheairborneparticleconcentrationsinaccordancewithISO14644-1and14644-2.AirborneparticleconcentrationsinaccordancewithFED-STD-209Eareincludedforreference.Thissimpleclassificationisinadequatetodescribeafacilitythatwillsupporttheassemblyandintegrationofspacecraft.Theextendeddurationofhardwareexposureduringfabricationandtesting,thesensitivityofthehardwaretohydrocarbonsandothermolecularcontaminants,andthechangingrequirementsduringassemblyandintegrationmustbeconsideredinadditiontotheairborneparticleconcentrations.1.3Theguidelinesspecifiedhereinareintendedtoprovidefacilitiesthatwilleffectivelyrestrictcontaminantsfromenteringthefacility,limitcontaminationgeneratedbyandwithinthefacility,andcontinuouslyremoveairbornecontaminantsgeneratedduringnormaloperations.Someitemsofsupporthardware,suchasliftingequipment,stands,andshoecleaners,areaddressedsincetheseitemsareoftenpurchasedandinstalledwiththefacilityandmayrequireaccommodationinthedesignofthefacility.1.4Activefiltrationofmolecularcontaminants(suchashydrocarbons,silicones,andotherchemicals)isdiscussed.Suchactivefiltrationofmolecularcontaminantsmayberequiredfortheprocessingofhighlysensitiveopticaldevices,especiallyinfraredandcryogenicsensors.ControlofmicrobiologicalcontaminationisnotincludedalthoughHEPA(HighEfficiencyParticulateAir)filtrationwillprovidesomecontrolofairbornebacteria,spores,andotherviablecontaminantsthataretypicallycarriedonparticlesofsizes0.3mandlarger.Controlofradioactivecontaminationandaccommodationofveryhazardousmaterialssuchaspropellants,strongacidsorcaustics,orcarcinogensarenotaddressed.1.5Nofacilitywillcompensateforexcessivecontaminationgeneratedinsidethefacility.Inadditiontoaneffectivefacilitydesign,theusermustalsoinstitutearoutinemaintenanceprogram(seePracticeE2042)forthefacility,andpersonnelandoperationaldisciplinesthatlimitthetransferofcontaminantsthroughentrydoorsandcontaminantgenerationinsidethefacility.1.6Thispracticeonlyaddressesguidelinesforcontaminationcontrolinfacilitydesign.Itmustbeimplementedincompliancewithallmandatorygovernmentandregulatorybuildingandsafetycodes.ReferencestorelatedcleanroomstandardsandU.S.buildingcodesandstandardsmaybefoundinIEST-RP-CC012.1.7ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.8Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
